Wipe Out multi purpose cleaner, part SK6012 and stocked under SKU PST-SK6012, is a 1 quart surface cleaner for the waterline ring that builds up over a season of swimming. Body oils, sunscreen, and airborne grime bond to vinyl, tile, and fiberglass and turn into a grey band that only gets harder to remove the longer it sits. Scrubbing that line down at closing is one of those small jobs that pays off in the spring, because a clean waterline does not stain and does not feed algae under the cover. It is formulated to be safe on vinyl liners.

Is it safe on a vinyl liner?
Yes, it is formulated for vinyl. Test a hidden spot first on an older or patterned liner, and use a soft sponge rather than an abrasive pad.
When should I clean the waterline?
At closing, before the cover goes on. A ring left all winter bakes in and can stain, and it is far harder to remove in the spring than it is in October.
Do I need to drain the pool to use it?
No. Lower the water a few inches to expose the ring, wipe the band clean, then bring the level back where you want it for the winter.
