The Arctic Armor 12-Year Solid Winter Cover for 40' x 18' oval above ground pools (MPN WC835-4, SKU PST-WC835-4) is a solid woven polyethylene cover that does not let water, leaves or debris pass through while your pool is closed. It is cut to a 44' x 22' oval size so the 4' overlap lets it rest on the water and hug the pool wall, and it includes a vinyl-coated cable and metal winch for cinching the edge tight. Green on top with a black underside and reinforced heat-sealed seams, it is backed by a 12-year limited warranty with the first 2 years unconditional on fabric and workmanship.

Blocks Sunlight and Debris
Together, the black underside and heat-sealed seams shut out sunlight and hold fallen leaves and twigs on top of the cover, so they never settle into the water and break down over the winter.

This winter cover protects your pool from the elements during the months the pool is not in use. It is not a safety cover. Stay off the cover at all times, and never leave children or pets unsupervised near the pool, covered or uncovered.

What size cover should I order?
Order by pool size. This cover is for a 40' x 18' oval above ground pool and is cut to a 44' x 22' oval size, which includes the 4' overlap. Covers are sized for water lowered up to about 12 inches below the top of the pool; if you drop your water more than that for the winter, order a larger size.
How does the cover go on?
Grab one or two helpers and tape over any sharp edges. Center the cover so the overlap is even all the way around and let it rest on the water, hugging the pool wall. Do not stretch it across the pool, since stretching damages the cover. Thread the cable through the grommets, run both ends into the winch and turn the handle clockwise until the cover is snug. Pad sharp or rough spots on the top rail where the cover rests.
What does the 12-year warranty include?
The first 2 years are unconditional on fabric and workmanship. From year 3 through year 12, material degradation earns a pro-rated credit toward the purchase of a new cover. Keep your receipt, since no claim is honored without one, and plan on paying handling and shipping for the replacement. Improper installation voids coverage, including an off-center cover or hold-down devices that did not come with the cover. The warranty does not cover damage from wind, snow or heavy rain, or wear at unpadded sharp spots on the top rail.

Dog chewed pool robot cord end. Ordered this fix it. Delivery was a little slow and I think some instructions should have been included as should have been a tiny allen wrench needed to tighten the wires into the plug. I got it done but think most homeowners would have a problem doing it. Other than these issues, the plug works fine and was much cheaper than buying a whole new cord.
Had a minor issue with pricing of a separate part in my order, but the sales team was responsive and reasonable, and worked with me to come to a mutually agreeable solution. In a world where character and reason has become the exception rather than the norm, they stand by their word and were committed to finding a fair solution.

Came here looking for a replacement flow switch and housing. My last one that I purchased on Amazon (cheap Chinese ****) lasted only 9mo before leaking severely in 2 places. I noticed a quality difference in the replacement I received from PST. I expect this one to far exceed the prior one. It installed quickly and works perfectly. Best of all, the leaked are gone.
