The Pentair T29 is the Fluidmaster valve Pentair lists as a replacement part for its AutoFill automatic water fillers. It is the fill valve used on the T40F standard inground models and the T40FN Vanishing Edge models, and it holds your pool's water level with an adjustable float.

Set Your Water Level
Pentair's install guide sets the float height by lightly pressing down on the top of the fill valve and turning it clockwise or counterclockwise until you reach your water level.
Fine-Tune the Float
The float rides on a stainless steel rod. Squeeze the clip to move the float up or down, or screw the valve up or down to change the valve height.
Seal Threads With PTFE Tape
Pentair calls for PTFE thread seal tape on the valve assembly and says not to use liquid or paste sealers.
Clean the Debris Screen
A debris screen sits in the AutoFill bucket. To clear sand and debris from the supply line, Pentair has you remove and clean the screen, then reinstall the screen and the valve.
Installation Notice
Wrap the valve threads with PTFE thread seal tape only. Pentair warns against liquid or paste sealers and does not cover warranty damage caused by over tightening or cross threading.

I accidentally broke the original **** by tightening it too much. This was a perfect fit and works 100%. Fast delivery too!
Swapped out broken heater (lasted about 6 years) for this one. The instructions are for the electronics, not for the plumbing. You must get everything perfectly aligned or the plumbing may leak. I needed to loosen the electronics box to get the plumbing perfectly aligned. I have hot water again.

PST pool supplies are great to work with. I was having trouble finding this heat exchanger . Everywhere I looked, it was out of stock or back ordered. I contacted the manufacturer about buying the heat exchanger. They told me I couldn't buy it because I wasn't a dealer. If I was a dealer, they would be able to take the order. And make one, it would take 5 to 8 weeks. I contacted PST they put my order in and I received it in about six weeks. Fantastic people to work with. Thanks Tim
