The Swimline SupremeGuard Solid Winter Cover for 12' x 24' above ground pools (SKU PST-PCO121527) lays right on the water and shuts leaves, dirt, rain and sunlight out of your pool from closing day to opening day. The finished cover measures 15' x 27', which is 3' larger than your pool, so there is fabric to fold over the top rail and cinch down with the included coated steel cable and winch. Swimline backs it with a 10-year limited, first year full warranty. The SupremeGuard sits in the middle of Swimline's solid winter lineup, warranted two years longer than the SuperGuard.

Rain and snowmelt pool on any solid cover. A cover pump keeps that weight off the fabric and off your pool wall from the first storm to the spring thaw.
Not a Safety Cover
A solid winter cover is not a safety cover. It floats on the water and will not hold the weight of a child, a pet or an adult, and standing water on top of it is a drowning hazard. Keep a cover pump running on the cover, keep everyone off it, and use an anchored safety cover if you need a real barrier.

What size cover do I order for my pool?
Order by your pool size, not the cover size. Every SupremeGuard is cut larger than the pool it is listed for, and the overlap in the title is how much bigger the finished cover is, so the fabric reaches past the wall with room to secure it. Measure the pool itself and match that number.
How does the cover attach to an above ground pool?
The cable threads through the grommets around the edge of the cover, runs around the outside of your top rail, and the winch takes up the slack until the cover is snug. Most owners add cover clips or wall bags in windy spots, and an air pillow underneath to take the pressure of expanding ice off the pool wall.
What is the difference between SuperGuard, SupremeGuard and SilverKing?
All three are solid Swimline winter covers that block water, debris and sunlight, and all three install the same way. The difference is the warranty and the color: SuperGuard is blue with an 8-year warranty and 1 year full, SupremeGuard is green with a 10-year warranty and 1 year full, and SilverKing is silver with a 15-year warranty and 2 years full.
Is a solid winter cover the same as a safety cover?
No, and this is the one thing to get right. A winter cover is a tarp that floats on the water and keeps debris out. It is not a barrier and will not support weight. A safety cover is anchored into the deck with springs and is built to the ASTM F1346 standard. If you need to keep children and pets out of the pool, buy a safety cover.
Can I put the cover on myself?
Two people and about half an hour. Skim the pool, lower the water to the level your closing instructions call for, float the cover out over the water rather than dragging it across the coping, then secure the perimeter. Doing it on a calm day makes the whole job easier.
