Swimline 5440 Submersible Pool Cover Pump, 500 GPH
Twice the flow for the covers that catch twice the water.
The Swimline 5440 submersible cover pump, stocked under SKU PST-SW5440, moves up to 500 GPH off a winter pool cover, double the output of the 250 GPH model, which matters on larger in ground covers and in regions that get real rainfall between freezes. It sits flat on the cover, is fully submersible, and discharges through a standard 3/4 in garden hose thread. The 25 ft power cord reaches from a deck outlet to the middle of the cover, where the water collects. Clearing standing water helps keep a winter cover from stretching, tearing at the grommets, or sagging into the pool.

Should I get the 500 GPH or the 250 GPH pump?
The 500 GPH model moves twice the water of the 250 GPH model, which helps on a large in ground cover or in a wet climate.
Does it shut off automatically?
No, it is a manual pump. Plug it in when water pools on the cover and unplug it when the cover is clear so the pump is not running dry.
Can I leave it out all winter?
No. Swimline's instructions say to unplug the pump when it is not in use and not to install or store it where it will be exposed to weather or freezing temperatures.

Needed to replace the control overlay on our Nordic Impulse hot tub, but could not find out the make or model number of the actual control panel on our tub. By taking measurements and photos or our actual control panel button positions and functions, I was able to narrow down the options. I ordered this overlay as the button positions seemed to be in the right positions, even though the overall size was smaller than the control panel. The overlay works, in that all buttons and functions are in the right place, and the overlay seems to have adhered well to the panel. It is not a perfect match, as it is smaller overall than it should be. But I am happy with the result and will buy an additional identical overlay as a backup in case this one, too, deteriorates at some point. Took a lot of detecting, but the result is successful!
