How much do I add to my spa?
Start with 1 teaspoon per 500 gallons, then add about 1/2 teaspoon per 500 gallons whenever free chlorine drops to 1 ppm. Hold a residual of 1 to 3 ppm and keep pH between 7.2 and 7.6. The container label carries the full directions for use, so read it before your first dose.
How does the 2 lb size compare to the 1 lb?
Same granules and the same dose rates, just a larger container. The 2 lb jar (C002311-CS20B2) goes further between reorders if you run your spa year round, while the 1 lb jar (C002311-CS20P5) suits seasonal use or a smaller tub.
How should I handle and store it?
Broadcast the granules straight into the water with the circulation pump running, then leave the cover off until the chlorine level settles back into range before anyone gets in. Store the container closed in a cool, dry spot away from other chemicals, and never mix these granules with any other chemical in a container, scoop, or feeder.
