SpaPure Natural Clear (SKU PST-SPA3403CS40P, MPN C003403-CS40P) is a 1 pint concentrate built around chitosan, a natural biopolymer that gathers the fine debris ordinary filtration leaves behind. Regular use pulls body oils, soaps, lotions and trace metals out of suspension and clumps them into particles large enough for the cartridge to actually catch, which is why continued use buys you more time between filter cleanings. It is biodegradable, highly concentrated, and compatible with every sanitizing program, including chlorine, bromine, mineral cartridges, ozone and non chlorine systems. Because the formula works by clumping rather than by chemical reaction, you cannot overdose it.

How much Natural Clear do I add?
On a fresh fill, or on water that already looks dull, add 3 oz (6 tablespoons) per 500 gallons. After that, 1 oz (2 tablespoons) per 500 gallons weekly keeps it working. Add it with the water circulating so it disperses across the whole volume. The formula cannot be overdosed, so an extra splash on a heavy use weekend will not throw the water off.
How is this different from the regular SpaPure Clarifier?
Both make cloudy water clear, but they get there differently. SpaPure Clarifier is a concentrated synthetic clarifier that acts fast on a hazy spa. Natural Clear uses a chitosan biopolymer, an all natural and biodegradable route that also lifts oils, soaps and trace metals out of the water on its way through the filter. Pick Natural Clear if you want the natural chemistry and the filter efficiency gain, and the standard Clarifier if you simply want haze gone quickly.
Will it help my filter cartridge last longer?
That is the main practical payoff. By clumping fine particles into something the cartridge can trap, the filter does its job in fewer passes and loads up less quickly with slime and oil, so you stretch the interval between cleanings. Pair it with SpaPure Filter Cleaner every 4 to 8 weeks and the cartridge will keep its rated flow far longer. One note for allergy sufferers: chitosan is derived from shellfish.
