SpaPure® Chlorinating Granules (C002311-CS20P5, SKU PST-SPA2311CS20P5) put fast-acting chlorine into your spa in the smallest dose that gets the job done. The concentrated dichlor granules dissolve completely in circulating water, so they sanitize and disinfect on contact instead of settling on the shell or clouding the tub. Because the same bottle covers routine maintenance and shock, you can hold a residual day to day and then step the dose up to burn off body oils, odor, or a cloudy batch of water. This is the 1 lb bottle, the size most spa owners reach for; the same formula is also sold in a 2 lb bottle.

How much do I add, and what should my water read?
Dose with the circulation pump running and read the container for the full instructions for use, since dosing scales with your spa's gallonage. Hold a free chlorine residual of 1 to 3 ppm at all times and keep pH between 7.2 and 7.6. Chlorine works far harder in that pH band, so test the water before you decide you need more product.
What is the difference between the 1 lb and the 2 lb bottle?
Nothing but the quantity. Both bottles carry the identical C002311 chlorinating granules formula. This listing is the 1 lb size (C002311-CS20P5). Pick the 2 lb bottle if you run a larger spa, soak year round, or shock weekly and would rather reorder less often.
How should I handle and store it?
Treat it as an oxidizer. Add the granules to water, never water to the granules, and never mix it with any other chemical, including other chlorine products. Store the bottle closed, dry, and away from heat and organic material. Wash your hands after dosing and keep it out of reach of children and pets.
