New-style OEM drain flap that empties the robot fast.
The Maytronics Rapid Drain Flap, part 99830244 (SKU PST-87-111-1656), is the genuine OEM flap that sits at the rear underside of a Dolphin robotic cleaner and dumps the water out of the housing the moment you lift the unit from the pool. This is the new-style flap that supersedes part 9983102 and 9983102-R1. Replace it when the flap is torn, curled, or stiff, because a flap that no longer seals lets debris wash back out of the filter and a flap that no longer opens leaves you hauling a robot full of water.

How is 99830244 different from 9983102?
99830244 is the current new-style flap and it replaces the older 9983102 and 9983102-R1. If your parts diagram still lists 9983102, order this part.
How do I know the flap needs replacing?
Two symptoms give it away. If water pours out slowly and the robot still feels heavy on the deck, the flap is stuck shut. If you find debris back in the pool after a cycle, the flap is no longer sealing on the return stroke.
How do I install it?
Power down and unplug the cleaner, turn it over, pull the worn flap out of its retaining slot at the rear of the body, and press the new flap in until it seats along the full width. No tools required.
