The cell usually last over 5 years that's if your pool and cell is well maintained.
The cell plates can be removed easily for easy cleaning without the use of dangerous chemicals.
Salt Cell body are upgraded and reinforced for more strength and durability. These superior cell plates are wide-set and individually powered to prevent scaling "bridging" that reduces the salt cell's life.
