The Pool Trol winter closing kit, part 575196 and stocked under SKU PST-575196, is the small pool package, sized for up to 7,500 gallons. It contains 1 quart of Pool Trol winterizer and 1 lb 7 oz of Winter G tablets, which together cover algae control and water conditioning for a season under the cover. For an above ground pool or a small in ground, this is the least complicated way to close correctly: balance the water, shock it, let the chlorine drop, then add the kit and put the cover on.

Is this enough for my pool?
It is dosed for up to 7,500 gallons. If your pool is larger, move up to the 15,000 or 25,000 gallon kit rather than stretching this one.
What order do I add things in?
Balance pH, alkalinity, and hardness first. Shock the pool. Once free chlorine comes back down, add the winterizer, then place the tablets, then cover the pool.
Do I need anything else to close?
Beyond chemistry, you need the plumbing blown out, the equipment drained, plugs in the returns, and a cover secured. The chemicals are only one part of a proper closing.

The ceramic spindle in the center of the original impellor broke. Replacement with this part was super easy and pump performs like new.
