Adds stain control to the closing routine.
The Pool Trol winter closing kit, part 575226 and stocked under SKU PST-575226, covers pools up to 15,000 gallons and steps up from the small kit by adding stain protection. Inside are 1 quart of winterizer, 1 quart of Winter Stain Out, and 2 lb 14 oz of Winter G tablets. Stain control matters on a closed pool because dissolved metals and hardness have five months with no circulation to come out of solution and settle onto the walls and floor, and stains that set over the winter are far harder to remove in the spring than they are to prevent in the fall.

Do I need the stain product if my water looks clear?
Clear water can still carry dissolved iron, copper, or manganese. Those only show up as stains once they come out of solution, which is exactly what a still, cold, uncirculated pool encourages over the winter.
How does this compare to the smaller kit?
The 7,500 gallon kit has winterizer and tablets. This one doubles the volume covered and adds Winter Stain Out, so it is the better choice on any pool with known metal content.
Can I add everything at once?
Add each product separately with the pump running so it distributes fully. Do not premix them, and do not pour them into the skimmer together.
