Why test for phosphates?
Phosphates are the primary nutrient that fuels algae growth. Even when chlorine is in range, high phosphate water will keep blooming algae faster than your sanitizer can kill it. The fix is to strip phosphates with a remover product, not chase the algae with more chlorine.
