The 01 suffix is the white downjet. How is this different from the slip-style downjet (004-252-3020)?
This 004-252-3032 jet is the threaded version that screws into a threaded cleaning head body. The 004-252-3020 part is the slip-style jet that glues into a smooth socket. They are not interchangeable, so check the existing body in your pool floor or wall before ordering.
Will this work with my Paramount in-floor cleaning system?
It fits Paramount in-floor cleaning systems that use the threaded downjet body. If your current jets thread out by hand or with the Paramount tool and look like the part shown, this is the correct replacement. If they pull straight out without unscrewing, you have the slip-style and need 004-252-3020 instead.
Can I install this myself?
Yes. With the pump off, unscrew the old downjet from the cleaning head body, drop the new assembly into the opening, and hand thread it in until the faceplate sits flush. Aim the eyeball along the pool floor toward the main drain. Do not use a wrench or pipe tools, the threads are soft polymer and will strip if over-torqued.
Why are my downjets fading or turning yellow?
Chlorine, sun, and saltwater eventually break down the surface of any plastic fitting. White downjets tend to show it first. If your jets look chalky, cracked, or are missing the eyeball, replace them as a set so the pool floor pattern looks consistent and the sweep action stays even.
