The King Technology New Water Inground Cycler Model 400 (SKU PST-01010400, MPN 01-01-0400) is an in-line chlorine feeder that plumbs directly into your pool's return line and doses a steady, low level of chlorine every time the pump runs. You drop a prefilled New Water Cycler Pac into the housing, dial in one of nine feed settings, and the erosion-controlled design meters sanitizer automatically -- no measuring cups, no handling loose tablets, and far less of that harsh chlorine smell. Install In-Line Only
This is an in-line Cycler and must be plumbed into the return line, never installed off-line. Chlorine is a strong oxidizer, so shut off and relieve system pressure before opening the housing, load only genuine New Water Cycler Pacs, and never mix chlorine product with any other pool chemical. Wear eye protection and gloves when handling pacs and always add chemicals to water, never the reverse.

Does the Cycler come with chlorine, or do I buy that separately?
The Model 400 is the Cycler housing and control dial only. It uses the New Water 407C Cycler Pac (6.16 lb prefilled chlorine pac, part 01-03-4613), which is sold separately. Keep a spare or two on hand so you can swap a fresh pac the moment the old one runs down.
What size pool is the Model 400 rated for?
It is built for in-ground pools up to 40,000 gallons. The 9-setting dial lets you match the chlorine feed to your actual water volume, bather load, and the weather, so a smaller pool simply runs on a lower setting.
Is this an in-line or off-line feeder?
This is the in-line version. It plumbs directly into the return line after the filter and should never be installed off-line. If your equipment pad is set up for an off-line (bypass) feeder instead, you want the off-line New Water Cycler rather than this Model 400.
Does the New Water system use minerals like the Pool Frog?
No. The New Water Cycler is a chlorine feeder that doses low, steady levels of chlorine through prefilled pacs. King Technology's mineral-plus-chlorine hybrid is the separate Pool Frog line. If you specifically want a mineral system, choose a Pool Frog Cycler instead.
Can I install this myself?
The 2" FPT ports tie into standard PVC return plumbing, so a handy pool owner comfortable with cutting and gluing PVC can do it, but many owners have it added during a routine equipment-pad service call. Always relieve system pressure before opening the housing and follow King Technology's installation instructions for placement after the filter and heater.

Our pool and spa are over 25 yrs old. When the spa air button stopped working, we found that it was no longer avaliable.
