RuggedMesh closes the gap between mesh and solid covers. The premium weave blocks 99% of sunlight, compared to about 95% for standard mesh. You still keep what makes mesh easy to live with: water drains through the cover and there is no pump to run, though Meyco notes RuggedMesh drains more slowly than its lighter mesh and can need light winter maintenance. Installation Notice
A safety cover meets ASTM F1346 only when it is fully installed: every strap anchored into solid decking and tensioned per Meyco's installation manual. Drill brass anchors into concrete, mortared brick or stone decks that can carry the load (Meyco specifies pipe anchors for pavers and loose brick), and never leave the cover partially attached. A loose cover is not a safety barrier.

All three are Meyco safety covers with the same brass and stainless hardware and 12-year warranty. RuggedMesh is the premium mesh: a 6 oz per square yard weave that blocks 99% of sunlight and filters finer debris. MeycoLite is the lighter 4.4 oz standard mesh that blocks 95%. PermaGuard is a solid vinyl cover that blocks 100%. If you want mesh convenience with near-solid shade, RuggedMesh is the one.

How do I pick the right size?
Order by your pool's swim area, not the cover's sewn dimensions. This listing fits a 14' x 28' pool: Meyco sizes the finished cover larger so it overlaps the deck on all sides and anchors under tension. Measure your pool at the waterline, match it to the listed size, and if your pool has steps or an offset, match the step configuration in the title too.
Can I install this myself?
Meyco relies on pool professionals to measure and install its covers, and an improper installation can void the warranty. Installation means drilling 3/4 inch holes for the brass anchors, threading the stainless springs onto the cover straps, and tensioning the cover with the included installation rod. Once the anchors are set, Meyco says stock covers go on and come off in about 15 to 20 minutes.
Will water sit on top of the cover?
The mesh drains rain and snowmelt through to the pool, so you do not need a cover pump. Meyco notes RuggedMesh drains more slowly than lighter mesh, larger covers can see short-term ponding while finer particles are filtered out, and a sagging cover can pond water, so keep the springs properly compressed. Fine debris stays on top, so blow or brush it off before you remove the cover in spring.

Needed to replace the control overlay on our Nordic Impulse hot tub, but could not find out the make or model number of the actual control panel on our tub. By taking measurements and photos or our actual control panel button positions and functions, I was able to narrow down the options. I ordered this overlay as the button positions seemed to be in the right positions, even though the overall size was smaller than the control panel. The overlay works, in that all buttons and functions are in the right place, and the overlay seems to have adhered well to the panel. It is not a perfect match, as it is smaller overall than it should be. But I am happy with the result and will buy an additional identical overlay as a backup in case this one, too, deteriorates at some point. Took a lot of detecting, but the result is successful!
