Meyco PermaGuard 16' x 36' Rectangle w/ Center Step Solid Pool Safety Cover, Green
Blocks 100% of the sun.
The Meyco PermaGuard 16' x 36' Rectangle w/ Center Step solid pool safety cover, Green (SKU PST-MEYS120) puts a solid deck over your pool that blocks 100% of the sun's rays, and keeps dirt, pollen and leaves on top of the cover. The mesh drain panel carries rain and snowmelt off the surface while straining out debris, and Meyco's center drain strip keeps water from pooling on the solid panels around it. It ships with non-corrosive solid brass anchors, stainless steel springs, an installation rod, and a storage bag, all backed by a 12-year warranty.
100% Sunblock
Zero Light, Cleaner Openings
PermaGuard's solid material blocks 100% of the sun's rays. The solid deck also keeps dirt, pollen and seed pods on top of the cover.
Drain Panel
Mesh Drain Panel Clears the Surface
A solid cover has to move water somewhere, and PermaGuard does it through a mesh drain panel . Rain and snowmelt pass through while dirt and leaves stay on top, so you get solid-cover cleanliness without standing water stretching the fabric. Meyco says its center drain strip virtually eliminates the potential for water to accumulate on the other panels of the cover.
Double Webbing
Built Stronger Where It Counts Most
Meyco uses 45% stronger webbing, thick straps, and double perimeter webbing so break strength is highest exactly where the cover carries load. Every seam is sewn with white polyester bonded, UV-resistant marine thread. Non-corrosive solid brass anchors disappear flush with the deck during swim season, and stainless steel buckles with aluminum strap tips will not rust or stain concrete. Meyco covers exceed ASTM safety standards.
Who It's For
Green-Water Spring Openers
If April usually means a swamp, PermaGuard blocks 100% of the sun's rays all winter.
Families With Kids & Pets
Anchored and tensioned to spec, PermaGuard is a tensioned barrier over the water that exceeds ASTM F1346 requirements.
Heavy Debris Yards
Under oaks, pines, or a windy lot, a solid deck traps leaves and seed pods on the cover surface instead of filtering them through.
Short Opening Windows
Pools that have to be swim-ready soon after opening benefit from a cover that blocks all sunlight and keeps debris on top.
Why PST Customers Pick This
100% Sun Blockage
The solid PermaGuard material blocks all of the sun's rays for the entire off-season. Meyco still recommends checking water conditions during warm spells, since algae can form once winterizing chemicals run low.
Mesh Drain Panel
Rain and snowmelt leave through the drain panel while dirt and leaves stay on top, so water is kept from pooling on the solid fabric.
Center Drain Strip
Meyco's center drain strip virtually eliminates water accumulating on the solid panels around it.
Brass & Stainless Hardware
Non-corrosive solid brass anchors sit flush when open. Stainless steel buckles and aluminum tips will not rust or stain your decking.
45% Stronger Webbing
Thick straps and double perimeter webbing raise tensile strength where the cover carries the load, adding years of service life.
Complete Install Kit
Ships with brass deck anchors, stainless steel springs, an installation rod, and a storage bag for the swim season.
Installation Notice
A safety cover performs to ASTM F1346 only when every strap is anchored into sound decking and tensioned per Meyco's installation guide. Solid covers also depend on the pool staying filled to the level called out in that guide, because the water underneath supports the cover under snow load. Never drain the pool under an installed solid cover, and never leave the cover partially attached.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between PermaGuard and Meyco's mesh covers?
PermaGuard is solid: it blocks 100% of the sun's rays and traps debris on the cover surface, with a mesh drain panel to clear surface water. MeycoLite (4.4 oz mesh, 95% blocked) and RuggedMesh (6 oz premium mesh, 99% blocked) let water pass through the whole cover, which is lower maintenance but lets more fine debris into the pool. Choose PermaGuard for the cleanest possible spring water.
Do I need a cover pump with PermaGuard?
No. This cover is built with a mesh drain panel, so rain and snowmelt drain through it instead of pooling on the solid fabric. A cover pump is only needed on all-solid covers built without a drain panel.
How do I pick the right size?
Order by your pool's water surface, not the finished cover dimensions. This listing fits a 16' x 36' pool, and Meyco sews the cover oversized so it overlaps the deck on all sides and anchors under tension. Measure at the waterline, match the listed size, and match the step or offset configuration in the title if your pool has one.
Can I install this myself?
Meyco relies on pool professionals to measure and install its covers, and an improper installation can void the warranty. Installation means laying out the cover, drilling the anchor holes, threading the stainless springs onto the straps, and tensioning each strap with the included installation rod. A solid cover is heavier than mesh, so plan on two people for seasonal install and removal.
What colors does PermaGuard come in?
Meyco offers PermaGuard in Green, Blue, Black, Gray, and Tan. Green is the standard stocking color at PST Pool Supplies, and the color of this cover is listed in the title and the spec table above.
What does the Meyco warranty cover?
Every Meyco cover carries a 12-year manufacturer warranty against defects in material and workmanship. Register the cover after purchase: keeps a record of registered covers and their measurements, so a replacement can be rebuilt to your original specs. Damage from improper installation or from letting the pool water level drop under the cover is not covered.

Let customers speak for us
All I can say is great customer service. Their products are good too
We had the older version and this dropped right in. Great buy!
I can’t wait for my mini Goldendoodle to be buzz for Halloween! It’s not bulky and small that it won’t bother him. He’s 32 lbs and I got the M/L
No issues with it. I received great customer service ensuring I chose the right thing and shipping was really fast.
Can not say enough about the Balboa retro fit system. I’m no expert, but I watched a you tube video and installed it myself. Hot tub is 14 years old and is up and running like new. Very pleased with my purchase. Thank you.
The process was smooth and lights arived as expected. Everything test out in good working order.
Needed to replace the control overlay on our Nordic Impulse hot tub, but could not find out the make or model number of the actual control panel on our tub. By taking measurements and photos or our actual control panel button positions and functions, I was able to narrow down the options. I ordered this overlay as the button positions seemed to be in the right positions, even though the overall size was smaller than the control panel. The overlay works, in that all buttons and functions are in the right place, and the overlay seems to have adhered well to the panel. It is not a perfect match, as it is smaller overall than it should be. But I am happy with the result and will buy an additional identical overlay as a backup in case this one, too, deteriorates at some point. Took a lot of detecting, but the result is successful!
This costume is legit. It has the sparkle, glittery sheen to it like the one used on screen! Very happy with it!!
Excellent service!
PST was great at communicating the status of my order throughout the various stages. I actually did encounter a shipment issue and they handled it without issue. I will be doing business again with them.
