A safety cover performs to ASTM F1346 only when every strap is anchored into sound decking and tensioned per Meyco's installation guide. Solid covers also depend on the pool staying filled to the level called out in that guide, because the water underneath supports the cover under snow load. Never drain the pool under an installed solid cover, and never leave the cover partially attached.
