Copper and silver ion chamber for the Main Access Power Ionizer

Main Access 4CH4002R is the replacement electrode chamber for the Main Access Power Ionizer (Power Ion) system, for units built 1997 and later. Notes

How often should I replace the chamber?

Plan on a new chamber every 1 to 2 swim seasons, depending on your climate and bather load. Replace it when the Chamber light on the control unit comes on, which means the electrodes are no longer producing ions.

How do I swap the chamber?

Unplug the Power Ionizer and shut off the pump, then disconnect the old chamber from the return line and the control unit and install the new one in the same position. Quick disconnect unions on both ends of the chamber make future chamber changes faster.

Do I still need chlorine with the Power Ionizer?

Yes. The ionizer lowers the amount of chlorine your pool needs but does not eliminate it. Keep a low chlorine residual, shock weekly, and test copper levels along with pH and alkalinity.
