LOOP-LOC II 16' x 40' Rectangle Super Dense Mesh Pool Safety Cover, Green
Denser weave, virtually all sun blocked.
The LOOP-LOC II 16' x 40' Rectangle Super Dense Mesh pool safety cover, Green (SKU PST-LL1640) is the cover from the brand that made its name by parking an elephant on one. The Super Dense Mesh weave blocks virtually all sunlight while rain and melting snow still drain straight through so nothing ponds and no cover pump is needed. LOOP-LOC covers are tested by Underwriters Laboratories and exceed ASTM safety cover standards. Yours ships with brass deck anchors, stainless steel springs, the installation tool, and a storage bag under a 15-year pro-rated warranty.
Super Dense Sunblock
A Weave This Dense Changes Your Spring
Super Dense Mesh blocks virtually all sunlight. Algae needs light, so cutting nearly all of it helps hold algae back through the off-season. You still get everything mesh is good at: rain and snowmelt pass right through to the pool, nothing ponds on the surface, and there is no cover pump to buy, power, or check on in January.
UL Tested
Thread That Is 30% Stronger
LOOP-LOC sews its covers with polyester thread rated 30% stronger than what other manufacturers use, because the stitching is where a tensioned cover takes its punishment. The company built its reputation on live-load demonstrations, including the elephant that has been standing on covers in its advertising for decades. LOOP-LOC covers have undergone outside testing at Underwriters Laboratories and exceed ASTM safety cover standards.
Tool Required
Tensioned With the LOOP-LOC Tool
Each spring goes on and comes off its anchor with the LOOP-LOC installation tool. Stainless steel springs hold the cover taut across every strap, and the brass anchors recess flush with the deck when you take the cover off in spring, leaving nothing to trip on all summer.
Who It's For
Families With Kids & Pets
A properly anchored LOOP-LOC cover is a tensioned barrier over the water that exceeds ASTM F1346 requirements for manual safety covers.
Wooded Backyards
The dense weave holds leaves, needles, and seed pods on top of the cover so they never reach the pool floor or your filter.
Snow Country Pools
Snowmelt drains straight through the mesh instead of pooling on the surface, so the cover sheds weight all winter with no pump.
Green-Water Spring Openers
Blocking virtually all sunlight helps hold algae back while keeping the low maintenance of mesh.
Why PST Customers Pick This
UL Tested, Exceeds ASTM
LOOP-LOC covers have been through outside testing at Underwriters Laboratories and exceed ASTM standards for manual safety covers.
Virtually All Sunlight Blocked
The Super Dense Mesh weave blocks virtually all sunlight, which is what starves algae and shortens your spring startup.
No Cover Pump Needed
Rain and melting snow drain through the mesh to the pool, so nothing ponds on the surface and there is no pump to run through a freeze.
Brass Anchors, Flush Fit
Brass anchors disappear flush with the deck when the cover is off, and stainless steel springs hold the cover taut when it is on.
30% Stronger Thread
Polyester thread rated 30% stronger than the industry norm keeps the seams and strap attachments intact season after season.
Installation Notice
A safety cover meets ASTM F1346 only when it is fully installed: every strap anchored into sound decking and tensioned per LOOP-LOC's installation instructions. Drill brass anchors only into concrete, stone, or pavers that can carry the load, keep the pool water level up per the owner's manual, and never leave the cover partially attached. A loose cover is not a safety barrier.

Frequently Asked Questions
How is Super Dense Mesh different from standard mesh or the solid Ultra-Loc?
Super Dense Mesh uses a tighter weave that blocks virtually all sunlight while still draining rain and snowmelt straight through, so there is no cover pump. Standard mesh blocks noticeably less light and lets more fine debris pass. Ultra-Loc II is the solid cover: debris stays on top, and surface water leaves through mesh drain panels.
How do I pick the right size?
Order by your pool's water surface, not the finished cover dimensions. This listing fits a 16' x 40' pool, and LOOP-LOC sews the cover oversized so it overlaps the deck on all sides and anchors under tension. Measure at the waterline, match the listed size, and match the step or offset configuration in the title if your pool has one.
Can I install this myself?
Professional installation is the safer call: LOOP-LOC's pro-rated warranty applies when the cover is installed by a qualified swimming pool professional. The install itself means laying the cover out, drilling the anchor holes, attaching the stainless springs to the straps, and tensioning each strap with the LOOP-LOC installation tool.
Will water sit on top of the cover?
No. Rain and melting snow drain through the mesh into the pool, so nothing ponds on the surface and no cover pump is required. Fine debris stays on top, so blow or brush the cover off before you pull it in spring.
What colors does Super Dense Mesh come in?
LOOP-LOC offers Super Dense Mesh in Green, Black, Gray, Tan, and Blue. Green is the standard stocking color at PST Pool Supplies, and the color of this cover is listed in the title and the spec table above.
What does the LOOP-LOC warranty cover?
Every LOOP-LOC mesh and solid safety cover carries a 15-year pro-rated manufacturer warranty against defects in material and workmanship under normal use, when installed by a qualified swimming pool professional. Coverage also requires that the pool water level is maintained per LOOP-LOC's care instructions, so keep the pool filled all winter.

Let customers speak for us
All I can say is great customer service. Their products are good too
We had the older version and this dropped right in. Great buy!
I can’t wait for my mini Goldendoodle to be buzz for Halloween! It’s not bulky and small that it won’t bother him. He’s 32 lbs and I got the M/L
No issues with it. I received great customer service ensuring I chose the right thing and shipping was really fast.
Can not say enough about the Balboa retro fit system. I’m no expert, but I watched a you tube video and installed it myself. Hot tub is 14 years old and is up and running like new. Very pleased with my purchase. Thank you.
The process was smooth and lights arived as expected. Everything test out in good working order.
Needed to replace the control overlay on our Nordic Impulse hot tub, but could not find out the make or model number of the actual control panel on our tub. By taking measurements and photos or our actual control panel button positions and functions, I was able to narrow down the options. I ordered this overlay as the button positions seemed to be in the right positions, even though the overall size was smaller than the control panel. The overlay works, in that all buttons and functions are in the right place, and the overlay seems to have adhered well to the panel. It is not a perfect match, as it is smaller overall than it should be. But I am happy with the result and will buy an additional identical overlay as a backup in case this one, too, deteriorates at some point. Took a lot of detecting, but the result is successful!
This costume is legit. It has the sparkle, glittery sheen to it like the one used on screen! Very happy with it!!
Excellent service!
PST was great at communicating the status of my order throughout the various stages. I actually did encounter a shipment issue and they handled it without issue. I will be doing business again with them.
