Little Giant PCPK-N Pool Cover Pump Kit, 300 GPH
Gets the water off before the ice gets on.
The Little Giant PCPK-N pool cover pump kit is a small submersible pump built for one job: pulling rain and snowmelt off a winter pool cover before the weight of it stretches the cover or drags it into the pool. It ships as a kit with an 18 ft power cord and 25 ft of discharge tubing, so you can set it in the middle of the cover and still run the water past the deck. A snap-on intake screen keeps leaves and grit out of the volute, which is what usually kills a cover pump.
Why PST Customers Pick This
Sized For Cover Duty
300 GPH is plenty for the standing water a winter cover collects, and the low draw motor is designed to run for long stretches without cooking itself.
Everything In The Box
The kit includes the discharge tubing, so there is no second trip for fittings when the forecast turns and the cover is already sagging.
Snap-On Intake Screen
The screen keeps leaf bits and grit away from the impeller. Rinse it off whenever you check the cover and the pump keeps moving water.
18 ft Of Reach
The long cord means the pump can sit near the center of the cover, where the water actually pools, rather than tethered to the nearest outlet.
Fully Submersible
Designed for continuous submerged operation in non-potable water, so it can stay out on the cover through a long wet stretch.
Protects The Cover
A few inches of standing water weighs hundreds of pounds. Pumping it off keeps the cover from stretching, tearing at the grommets, or pulling loose.
Electrical Safety
Plug the pump into a GFCI protected receptacle, as required by NEC 680 for equipment around a pool. Never lift or reposition the pump by its power cord, and unplug it before handling.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does this pump turn itself on and off?
No. The PCPK-N is a manual pump, so you plug it in when water collects and unplug it when the cover is clear. If you want it to cycle on its own, look at an automatic cover pump with a built in water sensor.
How low will it pump the cover down?
A cover pump is designed to sit flat on the cover and draw the puddle down to a shallow film. It will not run completely dry, so keep an eye on it once the water is gone.
Will 300 GPH keep up with heavy rain?
For a typical residential cover, yes. If you regularly get several inches of rain at once on a large cover, a 500 GPH or larger pump will clear it faster.
Can I leave it out all winter?
Many owners do, but pull it and store it dry once the cover is holding ice. A pump frozen into the surface can crack its housing, and that is not a warranty repair.
