Description
Lasco 406-020SW 2 inch Schedule 40 PVC 90 Degree Sweep Elbow, Slip x Slip
Smoother flow than a standard 90.
The Lasco 406-020SW (PST-PV406020SW) is a 2 inch Schedule 40 PVC 90 degree sweep elbow with Slip x Slip socket connections, built for pool and spa plumbing where flow matters. The long-radius sweep replaces a tight standard 90 to cut head loss, noise, and turbulence between your pump, filter, heater, and salt cell. Solvent-weld it into rigid 2 inch PVC pipe with primer and Schedule 40 PVC cement for a permanent, pressure-rated joint.

What is the difference between a sweep elbow and a standard 90?
A sweep elbow uses a longer radius bend than a standard 90, so water turns more gradually. That reduces head loss, pump noise, and turbulence, which is why sweep elbows are the preferred choice in front of variable speed pumps, heaters, and salt cells.
Does this glue to standard 2 inch Schedule 40 PVC pipe?
Yes. Both ends are 2 inch Slip sockets sized for rigid Schedule 40 PVC pipe. Use PVC primer and Schedule 40 PVC cement on cleaned, deburred pipe for a permanent solvent-weld joint.
Can I install this myself?
Yes, if you are comfortable cutting and solvent-welding PVC. Cut the pipe square, deburr the edge, dry-fit, then prime and cement both the socket and the pipe end. Let the joint cure fully before pressurizing the system.
