Will this stain my pool plaster or vinyl liner?
No, when used per the label. BAM's copper is bound in a triethanolamine chelate that keeps the copper ions in suspension instead of plating out on surfaces. Older unchelated copper algaecides cause blue-green staining, BAM does not.
Do I need a Pool Frog system to use BAM?
BAM was designed to dispense through the Pool Frog 5400, 6100, XL Pro, or Twin mineral system for even distribution. You can pour it directly into a non-Frog pool, but you'll get the best results and the lowest copper level paired with the Frog minerals and 0.5 ppm chlorine.
Can I add BAM myself or do I need a pro?
You can absolutely add it yourself. Pour the bottle into the skimmer or directly across the pool surface with the pump running, then let the system circulate for at least 90 minutes. Wear gloves and eye protection. No special tools required.
