Yes. King Technology renumbered the Pool Frog 2.2 lb chlorine Bac Pac from 01-03-5050 to 01-03-5880. The cartridge, trichlor weight, and Pool Frog feeder compatibility are unchanged.
Which Pool Frog feeders does this Bac Pac fit?
It fits the in-line and above-ground Pool Frog systems including the 5100, 5200, 5400, 5600, and 6100 Series. It does not fit the Spa Frog or @ease bromine systems.
How long does one Bac Pac last?
One Bac Pac feeds chlorine for one to three weeks, depending on pool volume, water temperature, swimmer load, and the chlorine dial setting on the feeder. Hotter water and heavy use shorten the run time.
Do I still need a separate Pool Frog Mineral Pac?
Yes for the full FROG system. The Mineral Pac (sold separately, replaced about every six months) handles mineral sanitizing while the Bac Pac handles the chlorine residual. Running the Bac Pac alone gives you chlorine only, not the mineral side.
Can I install this myself?
Yes. Open the Pool Frog feeder lid with the pump off, lift out the spent cartridge by the handle, drop the new Bac Pac into the chlorine chamber, and close the lid. Wear gloves and eye protection, and never set the Bac Pac next to other pool chemicals.
