Is this a single bottle or a case of 12?
Single bottle of 50 strips. The 'BC-12' in the part number refers to LaMotte's blister-carded, multilingual retail packaging version, not a quantity. For case quantities, contact PST and we can arrange bulk pricing on full cases.
How does this compare to the Insta-TEST 4 Plus?
The 4 Plus reads free chlorine, pH, total alkalinity, and cyanuric acid. The 6 Plus adds bromine and total hardness, useful for hot tubs and spas on bromine sanitation and for pools in hard-water regions where calcium hardness matters.
When do I need to replace the bottle?
Replace when strips give wildly different readings between consecutive tests, when color pads visibly discolor before dipping, or about 2 years from the lot date on the bottle. Heat, humidity, and direct sun shorten shelf life, store the bottle indoors with the cap fully tightened between tests.
