Keyed to the Shaft
The impeller is keyed to the motor shaft with a parallel key and held by a socket head screw and washers. Align the keyway with the key, push it fully on, and tighten the screw securely.

After fitting the diffuser around the impeller nose, rotate the impeller by hand to confirm it turns freely. Pentair warns a bound impeller can stop the motor from starting or make it draw excessive amps.
Inspect the Vanes
Pentair calls it good practice to check that the vane passageways are open and no vanes are broken or worn. A clogged impeller is one cause of low flow with low filter pressure.

The process was smooth and lights arived as expected. Everything test out in good working order.
Needed to replace the control overlay on our Nordic Impulse hot tub, but could not find out the make or model number of the actual control panel on our tub. By taking measurements and photos or our actual control panel button positions and functions, I was able to narrow down the options. I ordered this overlay as the button positions seemed to be in the right positions, even though the overall size was smaller than the control panel. The overlay works, in that all buttons and functions are in the right place, and the overlay seems to have adhered well to the panel. It is not a perfect match, as it is smaller overall than it should be. But I am happy with the result and will buy an additional identical overlay as a backup in case this one, too, deteriorates at some point. Took a lot of detecting, but the result is successful!

I accidentally broke the original knob by tightening it too much. This was a perfect fit and works 100%. Fast delivery too!
Swapped out broken heater (lasted about 6 years) for this one. The instructions are for the electronics, not for the plumbing. You must get everything perfectly aligned or the plumbing may leak. I needed to loosen the electronics box to get the plumbing perfectly aligned. I have hot water again.
