Hayward CX880XREPAK4 SwimClear Replacement Cartridge 4-Pack, 425 Sq Ft, for C4030 Filters
Four genuine cartridges for the 425 sq ft SwimClear.
The Hayward CX880XREPAK4 is a 4-pack of genuine Hayward CX880XRE replacement cartridges, a full 425 sq ft set for the SwimClear C4030 multi-element cartridge filter, which takes four. Hayward also lists the CX880XRE for the C4000, C4020 and C4025. Each cartridge measures 7 in across by 25-1/2 in long, with 106 sq ft of 4 oz media.
Why PST Customers Pick This
A Full C4030 Set
Hayward's SwimClear manual calls for four CX880XRE elements in the C4030, and this pack holds four, for the filter's full 425 sq ft.
Four Filter Models
Hayward's replacement cartridge chart lists the CX880XRE for the C4000, C4020, C4025 and C4030, each of which takes four cartridges.
NSF-Certified 4 oz Media
Hayward's premium 4 oz cartridges carry NSF certification when used in Hayward filters. SwimClear elements use reinforced polyester media.
Molded and Extruded Cores
Hayward builds these cartridges on precision-engineered molded and extruded cores for hydraulic efficiency and structural stability.
Works With Any Sanitizer
Hayward states its replacement cartridges are compatible with any pool sanitizer.
Easy to Identify
Each cartridge is individually packaged, with the part number molded into colored end caps and a bar code label on the shrink-wrapped package.
Service Notice
Hayward states the filter should be installed and serviced only by a qualified pool professional. The system runs under pressure: before opening the filter, turn off all circulation pumps and power, set the valves to stop flow to the filter and open the manual air relief valve. Hayward warns that system pressure can cause explosive separation of the upper filter body if its safety and operation instructions are not followed.

Frequently Asked Questions
Which filters does this 4-pack fit?
Hayward lists the CX880XRE cartridge for the SwimClear C4030, C4025 and C4020 and the C4000, four per filter. It does not fit the C2030, C3030, C5030 or C7030, which use the CX481XRE, CX580XRE, CX1280XRE and CX591XRE.
How many cartridges does my C4030 need?
Four. Hayward's parts list shows the CX880XRE as 1 of 4 required, so this 4-pack replaces the full set.
When should I clean or replace the cartridges?
Hayward says to clean or replace the elements when filter pressure rises 7 to 10 psi above the clean starting pressure. If the starting pressure after cleaning is more than 6 psi above the reading with new cartridges, replace them the next time the gauge reaches the red arrow.
How do I clean a SwimClear cartridge?
Hayward recommends washing each cartridge inside and out with a garden hose, then carefully brushing the pleated surface. Do not pressure wash, since that can damage the element.
How do I know the cartridges are genuine Hayward?
Hayward says genuine cartridges carry a bar code label on the shrink-wrapped package showing the part number, and the part number is molded into the colored end caps.

Let customers speak for us
Quickly shipped and the best part is it now installed and working
You're the only one that had a 3.5" lens. I'm happy that it's one piece.
Good transaction, the only problem is I bought the wrong size allen wrench. I should have bought the 1/4” one.
All I can say is great customer service. Their products are good too
We had the older version and this dropped right in. Great buy!
I can’t wait for my mini Goldendoodle to be buzz for Halloween! It’s not bulky and small that it won’t bother him. He’s 32 lbs and I got the M/L
No issues with it. I received great customer service ensuring I chose the right thing and shipping was really fast.
Can not say enough about the Balboa retro fit system. I’m no expert, but I watched a you tube video and installed it myself. Hot tub is 14 years old and is up and running like new. Very pleased with my purchase. Thank you.
The process was smooth and lights arived as expected. Everything test out in good working order.
Needed to replace the control overlay on our Nordic Impulse hot tub, but could not find out the make or model number of the actual control panel on our tub. By taking measurements and photos or our actual control panel button positions and functions, I was able to narrow down the options. I ordered this overlay as the button positions seemed to be in the right positions, even though the overall size was smaller than the control panel. The overlay works, in that all buttons and functions are in the right place, and the overlay seems to have adhered well to the panel. It is not a perfect match, as it is smaller overall than it should be. But I am happy with the result and will buy an additional identical overlay as a backup in case this one, too, deteriorates at some point. Took a lot of detecting, but the result is successful!
This costume is legit. It has the sparkle, glittery sheen to it like the one used on screen! Very happy with it!!
Excellent service!
PST was great at communicating the status of my order throughout the various stages. I actually did encounter a shipment issue and they handled it without issue. I will be doing business again with them.
