The Hayward SMX30904754 Black Top Panel Kit (PST SKU PST-SMX30904754) is the genuine Hayward replacement top panel for HeatPro MCHX Series pool heat pumps. It is the horizontal panel that caps the cabinet and frames the fan grille, so a cracked, faded, or hail-dented top gets put right without opening the refrigerant circuit. The panel arrives in the same black finish as the current MCHX cabinet and mounts to the original screw locations.

Will this fit my HeatPro?
This is the top panel for the black-cabinet HeatPro MCHX Series, which covers the 110K, 120K and 140K BTU units in both heat only and heat/chill configurations. Check the model number on your unit's data plate before ordering, because older tan cabinets use a different panel.
My old panel is tan, not black. Is this the same part?
No. This kit is the black panel used on current MCHX cabinets. Tan Summit XL and older HeatPro cabinets take part SMX309077011, a different stamping in the tan finish, which you can find here.
Can I install this myself?
Yes. Shut the unit off at the breaker first, back out the cabinet screws, lift the damaged panel off and set the new one in place. No refrigerant work is involved, so no EPA certification is required. If you are pulling the top to reach wiring or the fan motor, that work falls under NEC 680 and belongs to a licensed pool electrician.
