GLI Leaf Net Winter Cover for 21' Round Pools
Catch the leaves before they sink.
The GLI Leaf Net Cover for 21' Round pools (SKU PST-450021RDLNT3BX) is a lightweight mesh net that goes on over your solid winter cover and catches leaves before they can settle, soak and stain. Rain and snowmelt drain straight through the mesh while the net holds the leaf load on top. When the trees are bare you drag the net off with the whole pile on it, and the winter cover underneath comes out clean. Backed by a 2-year limited, first year full warranty.
Why PST Customers Pick This
Lifts the Whole Pile Off
Pull the net in late fall and the leaves come with it. Nothing sits on your winter cover long enough to stain it, weigh it down or clog a cover pump.
Water Drains Through
The open mesh passes rain and snowmelt to the cover below, so the net never fills, never ponds and never freezes into a solid sheet.
Bound Perimeter Edge
The edge is finished with perimeter binding, so the net holds its shape and resists tearing where you run rope, clips or weights through it.
Protects the Cover Under It
Wet leaves are the fastest way to stain and rot a winter cover. Catching them on a net you can throw away the mess adds seasons to the cover underneath.
Cut Larger Than the Pool
Order by pool size. The net is made oversized so it drapes past the edge with enough slack to tie down, clip or weight around the perimeter.
Pull It Before They Rot
Take the leaf net off once the trees are bare. Leaves left to break down will stain the cover underneath, and a soaked leaf load can get heavy enough to tear the mesh or drag your winter cover into the pool. A leaf net is not a safety cover and holds no weight.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does the leaf net go over or under my winter cover?
Over. The solid winter cover goes on first and gets secured normally, then the leaf net lays on top of it. The net is there to catch the leaf load so it never touches the cover doing the real work.
What size leaf net do I need?
Order by your pool size, the same number you use for your winter cover. The net is cut larger than the pool so it drapes past the edge with slack to secure. Round, oval and rectangle nets are all listed by the pool they fit.
When should I take it off?
As soon as the trees around your pool are bare, usually late fall. Waiting lets the leaves break down into a wet mat that stains the cover through the mesh and gets heavy enough to strain the net. Drag it off, dump the leaves, rinse it and store it dry.
Can I use a leaf net instead of a winter cover?
No. Water, dirt, fine debris and sunlight all pass right through the mesh, so on its own it will not keep the pool clean or hold back algae. Run it as a layer on top of a solid winter cover, or over a solar blanket during heavy leaf drop in spring and fall.
How is it held down?
Most owners run rope or bungee through the perimeter, or lay water tubes and cover weights on the overhang. It does not need to be as tight as the winter cover underneath, it only has to stay put in wind and hold the leaves it catches.
