How do Cover Doctor patch kits work?
Each kit is a self adhesive sheet you cut down to fit the damage. Clean and fully dry the fabric first, then press the patch over the hole. Holes and tears larger than about 3 inches should not be patched; send the cover in for a factory repair instead.
Will GLI hardware work with another brand of safety cover?
Match hardware to your cover brand whenever you can. Brass anchors and stainless springs look alike across brands, but spring length, buckle width, strap width, and anchor threads vary. Compare the new piece to the one you are pulling before you install it.
When should I replace springs and anchors?
Replace a spring once it stays compressed, loses tension, or shows rust and pitting, and replace the spring protector with it if the old one is split. Replace an anchor that spins in the deck, will not raise or lower, or has stripped threads.
