GLI Estate 12' Round Solid Winter Pool Cover

The GLI Estate Solid Winter Cover for 12' Round pools (SKU PST-450012RDEST3BX) is a tough polyethylene cover that keeps leaves, dirt, rain and sunlight out of the water all winter. The finished cover measures 15' Round, which is 3' larger than your pool. This closeout run includes standard Estate covers, built with a double folded, double stitched hem and Hold-Tite reinforced seams, along with Estate Plus Xtreme covers with heat welded seams and a reinforced perimeter binding. This one is closeout stock, so the price is cut and the quantity is whatever is left on the shelf.

Solid, Not Mesh
Nothing passes through the fabric. Leaves, dirt, pollen and sunlight all stay on top, so the water underneath stays clear instead of turning green under a mesh cover.
Seams and Hem
GLI finishes standard Estate covers with a double folded, double stitched hem sewn with water, chemical and sun resistant thread, and Hold-Tite seams that will not rip, fray or come apart. Estate Plus Xtreme covers use heat welded seams and a reinforced perimeter binding instead.

Not a Safety Cover
A solid winter cover is not a safety cover. It floats on the water and will not hold the weight of a child, a pet or an adult, and standing water on top of it is a drowning hazard. Keep a cover pump running on the cover, keep everyone off it, and use an anchored safety cover if you need a real barrier.

How do I know this fits my pool?
Order by your pool size, not the cover size. The listed cover is cut larger than the pool by the overlap shown in the title so it reaches past the wall or coping with room to secure. The shape is in the part number too: RD is round, OV is oval and RE is rectangle.
How does the cover hold down?
On above ground pools, a cover cable runs through the grommets and a winch cinches it around the top rail. In-ground rectangles use water tubes, sold separately, laid end to end around the whole perimeter so wind cannot get underneath.
It says closeout. Can I still return it, and is it still under warranty?
Yes to both. Closeout just means we are selling through the last of this GLI inventory at a reduced price. Your 30-day return window is the same as on any other cover, and the cover carries the full 12-year limited, first 2 years full (Estate Plus Xtreme: first 3 years full) warranty. The only catch is quantity: when a size sells out, we cannot restock it.
What is the difference between GLI Classic, Estate and Silver Premium?
Classic carries an 8-year warranty with 1 year full, Estate 12 years with 2 years full, and Silver Premium 15 years with 3 years full.
Is a solid winter cover the same as a safety cover?
No, and this is the one thing to get right. A winter cover is a tarp that floats on the water and keeps debris out. It is not a barrier and will not support weight. A safety cover is anchored into the deck with springs and is built to the ASTM F1346 standard. If you need to keep children and pets out of the pool, buy a safety cover.

Needed to replace the control overlay on our Nordic Impulse hot tub, but could not find out the make or model number of the actual control panel on our tub. By taking measurements and photos or our actual control panel button positions and functions, I was able to narrow down the options. I ordered this overlay as the button positions seemed to be in the right positions, even though the overall size was smaller than the control panel. The overlay works, in that all buttons and functions are in the right place, and the overlay seems to have adhered well to the panel. It is not a perfect match, as it is smaller overall than it should be. But I am happy with the result and will buy an additional identical overlay as a backup in case this one, too, deteriorates at some point. Took a lot of detecting, but the result is successful!
