GLI 4' x 15' Winter Air Pillow, Above Ground Ice Equalizer
Let the ice squeeze the pillow, not the pool wall.
The GLI 4' x 15' winter air pillow, part 500415AP, floats under an above ground winter cover and gives expanding ice somewhere to go, stocked under SKU PST-500415AP. As the surface freezes, the pillow compresses instead of the pool wall, and it crowns the cover so rain, snowmelt, and leaves shed toward the edges rather than pooling in the middle. Inflate it to roughly 60 to 80 percent, never to full capacity, so there is room left for the ice to push. A pillow is the cheapest piece of winterizing insurance an above ground pool owner can buy.

How much air should go in the pillow?
Fill it to about 60 to 80 percent. An overfilled pillow has nowhere to give when ice presses in, and it is the single most common reason pillows split before spring.
What size pillow does my pool need?
As a rule of thumb, a 4' x 4' suits pools up to about 18' round, a 4' x 8' suits 21' to 28' round, and a 4' x 15' suits large round or oval pools. When in doubt, size up or use two pillows.
Do I have to tie the pillow down?
Yes, keep it centered. Run cord through the grommets to the cover or use an adhesive centering patch kit so the pillow cannot drift to one side and leave the middle of the cover unsupported.

Part was easy to find and arrived a couple of days earlier than originally scheduled.
The ceramic spindle in the center of the original impellor broke. Replacement with this part was super easy and pump performs like new.
