Hayward FDXLGSV0004 Propane Gas Valve Kit, Universal H-Series H150FDP-H400FDP
Propane only. Fits H150FDP through H400FDP.
The Hayward FDXLGSV0004 is the factory propane gas valve for Universal H-Series forced draft heaters, listed by Hayward as the Gas Valve LP Kit FD. It carries the 24 VAC coil, ON/OFF knob, capped regulator adjustment screw and the inlet and manifold pressure taps that meter LP gas to the burner tray. Replace the valve when the heater will not light, drops out under load, or cannot hold manifold pressure in the 6.8 to 7.0 in. w.c. range. FDXLGSV0004 is the current part number for the older FDXLGSV0002, so either number gets you this same valve.

Will this fit an H500FDP?
No. The H500FDP uses FDXLGSV1500P, a different valve. FDXLGSV0004 covers H150FDP, H200FDP, H250FDP, H300FDP, H350FDP and H400FDP plus their ASME counterparts.
Is FDXLGSV0004 the same as FDXLGSV0002?
Yes. FDXLGSV0004 is the direct replacement part number for FDXLGSV0002. Same physical valve, renumbered by Hayward, so an order placed against the old number is filled with this one.
Can I install this myself?
Gas connections must be made by a licensed gas technician per NFPA 54. After the swap, verify manifold pressure at 6.8 to 7.0 in. w.c. with the heater firing and confirm inlet pressure stays between 9.0 and 13.0 in. w.c. This is a propane valve only, do not fit it to a natural gas heater.

Dog chewed pool robot cord end. Ordered this fix it. Delivery was a little slow and I think some instructions should have been included as should have been a tiny allen wrench needed to tighten the wires into the plug. I got it done but think most homeowners would have a problem doing it. Other than these issues, the plug works fine and was much cheaper than buying a whole new cord.
Had a minor issue with pricing of a separate part in my order, but the sales team was responsive and reasonable, and worked with me to come to a mutually agreeable solution. In a world where character and reason has become the exception rather than the norm, they stand by their word and were committed to finding a fair solution.
