Formerly sold as the Spa Frog, it pairs a self-cleaning FROG Mineral cartridge with a low-dose time-release bromine cartridge in a floating holder, so you replace a pre-filled cartridge about once a month instead of spooning in chemicals before every soak. Sanitizer Safety
Bromine is an oxidizer. Never mix the bromine cartridge granules with chlorine, other spa chemicals, or water inside a closed container, and keep both cartridges out of reach of children and pets. Test your spa water before each use and maintain a bromine residual in the manufacturer's recommended range; the mineral cartridge does not replace routine testing. For the first 24 hours on a freshly filled spa, set the bromine cartridge to 5, then adjust down as your reading stabilizes.

What comes in the box?
You get the green floating holder plus one starter mineral cartridge and one starter bromine cartridge, so the system is ready to run out of the box. When the cartridges are spent, refill with mineral cartridge 01-14-3812 and bromine cartridge 01-14-3824.
What size hot tub is this rated for?
The FROG Serene Floating System is designed for spas and hot tubs from 150 to 600 gallons. Larger swim spas or oversized tubs may need a second system or a higher bromine setting to hold a proper residual.
How is this different from the FROG Serene In-Line system?
This is the floating version: the holder drops right into the spa water with no plumbing. The In-Line system uses the same mineral and bromine cartridges but installs into a factory cartridge bay built into some spa cabinets. If your spa did not come with an in-line bay, the floating system is the one you want.
How much bromine does it actually use?
Because the FROG minerals handle part of the sanitizing, the system needs up to 50% less bromine than bromine on its own. You still keep a low bromine residual in the water; the minerals simply let you run the bromine cartridge on a lower setting.
Can I install this myself?
Yes, there is nothing to plumb or wire. Set the blue mineral cartridge to 6 and the yellow bromine cartridge to 5, snap both into the holder, and float it in the spa. After the first 24 hours, test the water and step the bromine setting down until your reading holds in range.

Our pool and spa are over 25 yrs old. When the spa air button stopped working, we found that it was no longer avaliable.
