Yes. The 01-14-3824 bromine cartridge is the same part for both setups. It snaps into the FROG Serene floating holder that drifts in the water, and it also drops into the in-line cap that Marquis, Caldera, and Hot Springs (and others) build into the spa's plumbing at the factory. Same cartridge, either system.
Do I still need the FROG mineral cartridge, or is bromine enough on its own?
You need both for the system to work as designed. The mineral cartridge kills a portion of the bacteria on its own, which is exactly why you can run up to 50% less bromine. Running bromine alone gives up that benefit. The mineral cartridge lasts about four months (replace it when you drain and refill the spa), while this bromine cartridge is replaced every 2 to 4 weeks.
How long does one bromine cartridge last?
Plan on 2 to 4 weeks per cartridge. The exact life depends on your water volume, how many people use the spa, and how often. Set the dial on the FROG holder lower for a smaller or lightly used tub to stretch each cartridge, and higher for a large or heavily used one. Always keep bromine in your target range with a test strip.
