Handling Warning
FROG Maintain is a potassium monopersulfate oxidizer (38.25%), not an inert additive. Keep it out of reach of children and pets, keep the container tightly sealed and dry, and never mix it with chlorine, bromine, or other chemicals in the same container, since combining oxidizers can release gas or trigger a violent reaction. Add product to water, never water to product, and wash hands after handling; monopersulfate can cause skin irritation or contact dermatitis in sensitive users.

How is the swim spa version different from regular FROG Maintain?
This 16 oz size is dosed for the larger water volume of a swim spa, up to 3,000 gallons. The standard hot tub FROG Maintain is portioned for a small spa around 300 to 500 gallons, so using hot tub doses in a swim spa would under-treat the water. Match the swim spa product to your swim spa.
How often should I use it and how much?
Shock once a month, or whenever you swap the FROG @ease SmartChlor cartridge. With the @ease system a good cue is when the floating holder tilts to about three-quarters, typically near the three-week mark. Cut open and pour the dose straight into the water with the jets running, then wait about 15 minutes before getting back in.
Will this bother my FROG @ease sanitizer or my salt or bromine system?
No. FROG Maintain is compatible with all sanitizer systems, including FROG @ease minerals and SmartChlor, salt, bromine, and chlorine. Because it oxidizes waste without adding chlorine or cyanuric acid, it actually helps your sanitizer work more efficiently and can help extend SmartChlor cartridge life.
Do I need to test or balance water before shocking?
Keep your swim spa in its normal balanced range for pH and alkalinity, then add FROG Maintain on your monthly schedule. It does not replace your sanitizer, it works with it, clearing the organic load your sanitizer would otherwise have to fight. If water looks cloudy off-schedule, you can shock and then run the jets to circulate.
Is this hard to use myself?
No install and no measuring. Cut the package open, pour the dose into the swim spa, and run the jets to circulate. Handle it as an oxidizer: keep it sealed and dry, keep it away from other chemicals, and wash your hands afterward. You are back in the water in about 15 minutes.

Our pool and spa are over 25 yrs old. When the spa air button stopped working, we found that it was no longer avaliable.
