FROG DropH pH and Total Alkalinity Decreaser
Drop your pH into range, fast.
FROG DropH (MPN 01-14-6200, SKU PST-01146200) is King Technology's pH and Total Alkalinity decreaser for hot tubs and swim spas. When your test strip reads high, you pour a measured dose using the built-in TruDose Cap and DropH pulls pH down into the ideal 7.2 to 7.6 range so your sanitizer works at full strength and scale stops forming on your shell and heater. One 3 lb bottle treats a full season of routine pH corrections on most spas.
Why PST Customers Pick This
Lowers pH and Alkalinity
One product corrects both high pH and high Total Alkalinity, so you carry a single bottle instead of two separate chemicals for spa water balance.
TruDose Cap Dosing
The built-in TruDose Cap and the dosing chart printed on the bottle tell you exactly how much to add. No guessing, no separate measuring cup, no mess.
Protects Your Sanitizer
High pH cripples chlorine, bromine, and mineral sanitizers. Pulling pH back to 7.2 to 7.6 restores their kill power so your water stays clear.
Stops Scale Buildup
Balanced water keeps calcium scale off your acrylic shell, jets, and heater element, protecting the equipment that is expensive to replace.
Any Spa, Any Chemistry
Works in any size hot tub or swim spa and with any sanitizing chemistry, including chlorine, bromine, and salt water systems.
Fast Acting
Add with the jets running, circulate 10 to 15 minutes with the cover open, then retest. Most corrections land in range on the first dose.
Safety and Handling
FROG DropH is an acidic dry chemical (sodium bisulfate) that causes serious eye and skin irritation. Wear eye protection, add the product to the water and never add water to the product, and keep it dry and sealed in storage. Never mix DropH with chlorine, bromine, or any other chemical, combining acid with these products can release toxic gas. Add only to an unoccupied spa with the jets on, and keep out of reach of children.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I know how much FROG DropH to add?
Test your spa with FROG @ease Test Strips first. If pH reads high, match your spa volume and current pH to the dosing chart printed on the DropH bottle and measure that amount with the TruDose Cap. Add it to the water with the jets running, circulate 10 to 15 minutes with the cover open, then retest and repeat if needed.
Does this also lower Total Alkalinity?
Yes. DropH lowers both pH and Total Alkalinity at the same time. Bring Total Alkalinity into the 80 to 120 ppm range first, since alkalinity buffers pH, then fine-tune pH to 7.2 to 7.6. Correcting alkalinity often brings pH most of the way down on its own.
Can I use DropH with my chlorine, bromine, or salt spa?
Yes. FROG DropH is compatible with any sanitizing chemistry, including chlorine, bromine, mineral, and salt water hot tubs and swim spas. It only adjusts pH and alkalinity and does not interfere with how your sanitizer works. Add it to the water separately, never pre-mix it with your sanitizer.
Why does high pH matter?
When pH climbs above 7.6, chlorine and bromine lose much of their sanitizing power and your water can turn cloudy while scale forms on the shell, jets, and heater. Keeping pH at 7.2 to 7.6 keeps your sanitizer effective, your water clear, and your equipment protected.
Can I use this in any size spa?
Yes. FROG DropH works in any size hot tub or swim spa. The dosing chart and TruDose Cap scale the amount to your water volume, so the same 3 lb bottle serves a small two-person hot tub or a large swim spa, you just add more per dose on the bigger unit.
