Chemical Safety and Handling
This kit contains reactive balancing chemicals, including an acidic decreaser (DropH, sodium bisulfate) and a strong oxidizing shock (StoMPS, monopersulfate). Never mix these products with each other, with chlorine or bromine, or with any other chemical in the cap, bottle, or a bucket, combining an acid with an oxidizer or sanitizer can release toxic gas and generate enough heat to cause fire. Always add the product to the water, never water to the product, dose only an unoccupied spa with the jets running, wear eye protection, and store each bottle sealed, dry, and out of reach of children and pets.

Finally set total hardness with SooTHe to reach 150 to 250 ppm. Correcting alkalinity first often brings pH most of the way into range on its own.
Does this kit sanitize my water?
No. The Balancing Basics Kit balances your water chemistry and includes StoMPS non-chlorine shock to oxidize contaminants, but it is not a sanitizer. Pair it with your existing chlorine, bromine, salt, or a FROG mineral system such as FROG @ease or FROG Serene to keep the water sanitized. Balanced water actually makes whatever sanitizer you run work better.
What size spa does this kit work with?

Our pool and spa are over 25 yrs old. When the spa air button stopped working, we found that it was no longer avaliable.
