This is a concentrated copper (II) sulfate pentahydrate algaecide (SDS signal word: Warning). It is harmful if swallowed and causes serious eye irritation. Wear gloves and eye protection, keep the pods sealed and away from children and pets, and do not open or crush them, drop them in the skimmer whole. If it gets in your eyes, rinse with water for at least 15 minutes and get medical attention. Concentrated copper is very toxic to aquatic life, so never dispose of the pods in storm drains, lakes, or streams.

Will this work with my salt system or chlorine pool?
Yes. The Algae Barrier is compatible with all sanitizers, including chlorine, salt chlorine generators, and FROG mineral systems. It does not replace your sanitizer, it works alongside it to prevent algae, which can also ease the load on your chlorine.
How soon can we swim after adding the pods?
Just 30 minutes. The pods dissolve gradually through the skimmer over the following 24 hours, but the water is safe for swimming half an hour after you drop them in.
