The Filbur FG-1036 (MPN APCFGR21) is a 19-5/8 in vertical DE filter grid built for Premier Springwater filters that use the 23-782 grid. Injection molded from 100% virgin high-impact styrene and covered in multi-filament polypropylene fabric, it drops straight onto the manifold using its single notch collar and white adapter. Which grid size is this in the Premier series?
This is the 19-5/8 in grid, the 23-782 in Premier's lineup. It is the shortest of the standard Premier Springwater grids. The taller companions are the 25-5/8 in (23-783), 31-3/4 in (23-784), and 37-3/4 in (23-785). Measure your existing grid height before ordering so you match the correct size.
Is this sold as a single grid or a full set?
Single grid. Most Premier DE filters use a full ring of grids plus a partial, so order the quantity your tank requires. Replacing the entire set at once keeps DE coating even and pressure stable.
Does it match the original collar, and what about FG-1036 or FC-9630 markings?
Yes on both. It uses the single notch collar with a white adapter, the same connection as the OEM 23-782 grid, so it seats without modification. The Unicel FG-1036, Filbur FC-9630, and APCFG1036 are all the same 19-5/8 in element, so any of those markings cross over to this grid.
