Two-part putty that hardens under water.
Epoxybond Pool Putty in black is Atlas Minerals & Chemicals' two-part, hand-moldable epoxy putty, specially formulated for concrete or Gunite pool repairs. It mixes 1 to 1 from a resin cartridge and a hardener cartridge, and it hardens under water, so there is no need to drain the pool to repair leaks and cracks.

Can I apply it under water?
Yes. Atlas says Epoxybond Pool Putty hardens under water. The area must be free of loose particles, slime and algae, the Resin and Hardener are mixed thoroughly above water until the putty is uniform in color, and the putty is pressed firmly into the repair.
How thick should the putty be applied?
Atlas says to apply it at least 1/8 inch thick and not to disturb it after application until it is completely cured.
How long does it take to set?
Atlas lists setting time by temperature: 2 hours at 70F, 80 minutes at 80F, 55 to 60 minutes at 90F and 40 to 45 minutes at 100F. It is about 3-1/2 hours at 60F.

I accidentally broke the original **** by tightening it too much. This was a perfect fit and works 100%. Fast delivery too!
Swapped out broken heater (lasted about 6 years) for this one. The instructions are for the electronics, not for the plumbing. You must get everything perfectly aligned or the plumbing may leak. I needed to loosen the electronics box to get the plumbing perfectly aligned. I have hot water again.

PST pool supplies are great to work with. I was having trouble finding this heat exchanger . Everywhere I looked, it was out of stock or back ordered. I contacted the manufacturer about buying the heat exchanger. They told me I couldn't buy it because I wasn't a dealer. If I was a dealer, they would be able to take the order. And make one, it would take 5 to 8 weeks. I contacted PST they put my order in and I received it in about six weeks. Fantastic people to work with. Thanks Tim
