Description
Danner Cover Care CC350 Magnetic Drive Pool Cover Pump, 350 GPH
No seals, no oil, nothing to wear out.
The Danner Cover Care CC350 is a magnetically driven centrifugal cover pump that moves up to 350 GPH off a winter pool cover and, because the motor drives the impeller through a magnetic coupling, it has no shaft seals to wear and no oil to leak. That is the whole design argument: the part that usually fails on a cover pump is not there. It sits fully submerged on the cover, hooks to any standard 3/4 in garden hose, and drains down to about 1/8 in of water. A clog resistant foam prefilter pops off for rinsing, and the whole unit runs on roughly half the electricity of a conventional motor driven cover pump.
Why PST Customers Pick This
Magnetic Drive
The magnet coupling means no shaft passes through the wet end, so there is no seal to fail and no oil that can leak into the pool if the housing cracks.
Drains To 1/8 in
It keeps working down to about an eighth of an inch, so the cover ends up nearly dry instead of holding a shallow pond that refreezes overnight.
Clog Resistant Foam Filter
The foam prefilter catches the leaf grit that stops most cover pumps, and it pulls off for a rinse in seconds rather than needing tools.
Roughly Half The Draw
Magnetic drive uses about half the electricity of a comparable motor driven cover pump, which adds up over a winter of intermittent running.
Standard Hose Discharge
Threads onto any 3/4 in garden hose, so you can route water off the deck and away from the pool with what is already in the garage.
UL Listed
Safety listed and backed by a 5 year limited warranty from Danner Manufacturing, which is a long warranty for a seasonal pump.
Electrical Safety
Plug the pump into a GFCI protected receptacle, as NEC 680 requires for equipment used around a pool. Never lift or drag the pump by its power cord, and unplug it before removing the foam filter.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between the CC350 and the CC500?
Flow rate. The CC350 moves 350 GPH and the CC500 moves 500 GPH. Everything else, including the 25 ft cord, the garden hose discharge, and the 5 year warranty, is the same. Pick the 500 for a large cover or a wet climate.
Does it start and stop on its own?
No, the CC350 is a manual pump. Plug it in when water collects on the cover and unplug it when the cover is clear.
Why does magnetic drive matter?
Cover pumps usually die at the shaft seal, where water gets into the motor. A magnetic drive has no shaft through the wet end, so that failure mode does not exist and there is no oil to contaminate the pool.
How do I maintain it?
Unplug it, pull the foam prefilter, rinse it under a hose, and put it back. Do that whenever you check the cover and the pump keeps its full flow all season.
