How do I keep an above ground winter cover from blowing off?
Run a cover cable through the cover hem and tension it with a winch, then add cover clips at the top rail and wall bags for extra weight. Wind gets under an edge before it takes a whole cover.
Is it worth patching a winter cover instead of replacing it?
For a small tear or a pulled seam, yes. A self adhesive cover patch strip applied to a clean, dry surface stops the tear from running and often buys another season or two.
Do I really need to cover the heater and diving board?
A fitted equipment cover keeps ice, leaves, rodents, and UV off components that are expensive to replace. It is the cheapest part of a closing and one of the most often skipped.

Part was easy to find and arrived a couple of days earlier than originally scheduled.
The ceramic spindle in the center of the original impellor broke. Replacement with this part was super easy and pump performs like new.
