How do I confirm this fits my skimmer?
Pull your existing basket and measure the top outside diameter. If it is 8-1/4 in and your skimmer is labeled U-3, U03, or U-series from Sta-Rite, Pentair, or SwimQuip, this basket drops in. If the top OD is closer to 7 in or 9 in, you have a different skimmer family and need a different basket.
Is this an OEM part?
No, this is an aftermarket generic built to the same B-9 dimensions as the OEM basket. Fit is identical, construction is comparable plastic. Most pool owners and service techs use generic baskets because they cost less and replace just as often (leaf-heavy yards eat baskets in a season or two).
