The Arctic Armor 10-Year Solid Winter Cover for 24' x 40' in-ground pools (model WC425-4, SKU PST-WC425-4) keeps leaves, dirt and branches out of the water from closing day until you open in spring. The finished cover measures 29' x 45', which builds in a 5' total overlap that leaves about 2 to 2-1/2 feet of material on each side once it is centered, and it is sized for water lowered up to 18" below the deck. It is gray woven polyethylene with a 9x9 scrim, heat-sealed seams and a black underside, backed by a 10-year limited warranty with the first two years full.

This winter cover protects a closed pool from the elements. It is not designed or intended as a safety cover. Stay off the cover at all times, keep everyone else off it, and never leave children unsupervised near the pool, covered or uncovered.

What size cover do I order?
Order by your pool size, not the cover size. This cover is listed for 24' x 40' in-ground pools and measures 29' x 45', so the 5' total overlap is already added. It is sized for water up to 18" below the deck; if you drop the water further than that at closing, go up a size. Never stretch a cover that comes up short to make it reach.
How do I hold the cover down?
With water tubes, sold separately, set in the loops sewn every 4' around the edge. Skip sharp blocks and other makeshift weights: sharp blocks cut and scuff the cover, and the warranty treats makeshift hold-downs as improper installation.
Which Arctic Armor in-ground cover should I choose?
The three solid lines install the same way and all have a black underside. The 10-Year is gray with the first two years full, the 12-Year is green with the first two years full, and the 15-Year is blue with the first three years full, each pro-rated through the year in its name. Rugged Mesh is a black mesh cover that lets rain and snowmelt drain through, with the first year full and pro-rating through year 8. A Leaf Net goes on top of your winter cover to catch falling leaves.
Can I put the cover on myself?
Yes, and one or two helpers make it faster. Tape over any exposed sharp edges first, and pad coping or other rough spots the cover will rub against. Spread the cover evenly so the overlap is the same on all four sides, because an off-center cover can malfunction and voids the warranty. Then set your water tubes in the loops.
How does the 10-year warranty work?
It is a 10-year limited warranty. The first two years are unconditional on fabric and workmanship; after that, material degradation is pro-rated as a credit toward a new winter cover. A purchase receipt is required for every claim, and the purchaser pays handling and shipping on the replacement. Improper installation voids the coverage. Damage from wind, snow and heavy rain is not covered.

Dog chewed pool robot cord end. Ordered this fix it. Delivery was a little slow and I think some instructions should have been included as should have been a tiny allen wrench needed to tighten the wires into the plug. I got it done but think most homeowners would have a problem doing it. Other than these issues, the plug works fine and was much cheaper than buying a whole new cord.
Had a minor issue with pricing of a separate part in my order, but the sales team was responsive and reasonable, and worked with me to come to a mutually agreeable solution. In a world where character and reason has become the exception rather than the norm, they stand by their word and were committed to finding a fair solution.

Came here looking for a replacement flow switch and housing. My last one that I purchased on Amazon (cheap Chinese ****) lasted only 9mo before leaking severely in 2 places.
