Aqua Silk Oxidizer, part GL71266 and stocked under SKU PST-GL71266, is the 1 gallon chlorine free shock for pools running the Aqua Silk biguanide sanitizer system. It burns off the sweat, sunscreen, leaves, and other organic load that builds up in the water, which is the job chlorine shock does in a conventional pool. Because it is chlorine free, it works with the biguanide instead of destroying it. Oxidize on a regular schedule and before closing, so the pool is not sitting on a season of organic waste under the cover.

Can I use this in a chlorine pool?
No. This oxidizer is formulated for the Aqua Silk biguanide system. Biguanide and chlorine are incompatible, and mixing the two systems is what produces the cloudy, gummy mess people complain about.
How often should I oxidize?
Follow the label schedule for your pool volume and bather load, and always oxidize before you close for the winter so organic material is not left to feed algae under the cover.
Can I swim right after?
Follow the wait time printed on the label. Add it with the pump running so it distributes fully before anyone gets back in.
