APC PTL40 Spa Filter Cartridge, 40 Sq Ft Top-Load (APCC7519)
Drop-in replacement for Sundance top-load filter assemblies.
The APC APCC7519 is a 40 sq ft pleated spa filter cartridge built to the PTL40 footprint, measuring 4-3/4 in across by 13-3/8 in tall with a molded carry handle on top and a 1-1/2 in MPT threaded base. It drops straight into Sundance and Superior Spa top-load filter assemblies and cross-references the Unicel C-7519, Pleatco PTL40, and Filbur FC-0209. If your spa uses any of those numbers, this is your cartridge.

Will this fit my Sundance spa?
Yes, if your factory cartridge is a PTL40, Unicel C-7519, or Filbur FC-0209, the APCC7519 matches the same 4-3/4 in by 13-3/8 in body with a top handle and 1-1/2 in MPT base. Pull your current cartridge and check the end cap or the printing on the tube to confirm.
How is this different from the PSD40 or C-4440 cartridge?
Both are 40 sq ft Sundance cartridges, but they are not interchangeable. The APCC7519 (PTL40) has a 1-1/2 in MPT bottom and a top handle for top-load assemblies. The PSD40 / C-4440 family uses a different end-cap and thread, so match the part number that came out of your spa, not just the square footage.
Can I install it myself?
Yes. Power down the spa, lift the old cartridge out of the top-load housing by the handle, drop the APCC7519 in, and seat the 1-1/2 in MPT base. No tools and no plumbing changes. Rinse the pleats every couple of weeks and plan on a fresh cartridge each season.
