The APC APCC7012 is a 35 square foot pleated replacement spa filter cartridge that drops straight into your hot tub. It measures 5-3/16" in diameter by 12-1/2" long with a molded top handle and a closed 2" MPT threaded bottom, so it screws into the same housing your old cartridge came out of. Built as a direct cross for Unicel 5CH-352, Pleatco PPM35SC-F2M, and Filbur FC-0196, it gives you a fresh 35 sq ft of media without paying the OEM badge premium.

Which cartridges does the APCC7012 replace?

Will this fit my spa?
If your filter is 5-3/16" wide and about 12-1/2" tall with a top handle and a 2" threaded bottom that screws into the standpipe, this is the right part. It is the factory cartridge for many Marquis Spas, Pacific Spas, Cal Spa Avalon 42, and EcoSpa hot tubs. Measure your current cartridge to confirm before ordering.
Is this the tall 12-1/2 inch cartridge or the short 8-1/2 inch one?
This is the tall 12-1/2" version with 151 pleats (the 5CH-352 / FC-0196 body). It is not the shorter 8-1/2" PWW35L / 4CH-935 cartridge, which uses a different OEM family. Check the length on your current filter so you order the correct height.
How do I install it?
Turn the spa off, lift the old cartridge out by its handle, and rinse the filter well. Thread the new APCC7012 onto the standpipe by hand until snug, do not overtighten the plastic threads, then restart the spa. No tools needed, so this is a simple do-it-yourself swap.
How often should I replace it?
Rinse the cartridge with a hose every few weeks and deep-clean it with a spa filter cleaner monthly. Plan to replace it every 12 to 18 months depending on bather load, or sooner if the pleats stay matted or discolored after cleaning.
