Both kits service the same Hayward Super Pump family with the same wear parts: housing gasket, diffuser gasket, lid O-Ring, mechanical shaft seal, and a silicone lube packet. They are functionally interchangeable repair kits for the SP1600, SP2600, and SP2600X series.
Can I rebuild my Super Pump myself with this kit?
Yes. Cut power at the breaker, drain the pump, remove the four bolts that hold the seal plate to the volute, slide the motor and seal plate off, and swap the gaskets and shaft seal one at a time. Lube the O-Rings with the included silicone, reassemble, and prime. Most homeowners finish a Super Pump rebuild in under an hour.
