The Blue Wave Affinity 18' round above-ground pool package (NB19833) sets a 52" steel wall inside an all-resin frame of 7" resin top seats, 6" resin verticals and 1" resin top and bottom rails. Along with the pool and its widemouth skimmer and return, you get a standard-gauge overlap liner, a Sandman 18 in sand filter system with a 1 HP two-speed pump, a resin A-frame ladder and an Economy pool maintenance kit.

Sandman Sand Filtration
The Sandman system mounts the filter tank and 1 HP pump on one base. A 6-way valve with settings including filter, backwash, rinse, waste and recirculate, plus a pressure gauge and sight glass, keeps routine care straightforward. Filter-grade sand is sold separately.
Resin A-Frame Ladder
The resin A-frame ladder has outside steps, an in-pool ladder, a top platform, handrails and an anti-entrapment barrier. Take the ladder out of the pool whenever the pool is not in use.

The pool, liner, filter system and ladder each come with instructions. Plan one full, calm day for the wall, bring a few helpers and start on level, firm ground cleared of grass and sod.

What is included in this package?

What else do I need before I start?
Pick up filter-grade sand for the sand filter, a backwash hose and pea gravel to fill the ladder legs, since none of these come in the package. The ladder instructions list its mounting bolts, washers and nuts as not included, and recommend a ladder pad under the bottom step to protect the liner. The site needs level, firm ground cleared of grass and sod, a 12 x 12 in patio block under each bottom joint, mason sand for the pool base and cove, and a grounded 110-volt outlet with GFCI protection for the pump.
Can I install it myself?
Yes. The pool, liner, filter system and ladder each come with step-by-step instructions. Start on a calm day when you have the whole day free, bring a few helpers to handle the steel wall, and have a qualified electrician install the GFCI outlet.
How do the warranties work?
The Affinity pool carries a 30-year limited warranty on the pool wall and frame. The other components are backed separately: the sand filter system by a 1-year limited warranty, the standard-gauge liner by a 15-year pro-rated liner warranty and the ladder by a 3-year limited warranty. The written warranty documents set the full terms.
How does the included liner install?
The standard-gauge overlap liner drapes over the top of the wall and is held in place with the plastic coping strips, and it is made for walls from 48 in to 54 in. Unfold it in the sun first so the vinyl warms up and is easier to position.

Dog chewed pool robot cord end. Ordered this fix it. Delivery was a little slow and I think some instructions should have been included as should have been a tiny allen wrench needed to tighten the wires into the plug. I got it done but think most homeowners would have a problem doing it. Other than these issues, the plug works fine and was much cheaper than buying a whole new cord.
Had a minor issue with pricing of a separate part in my order, but the sales team was responsive and reasonable, and worked with me to come to a mutually agreeable solution. In a world where character and reason has become the exception rather than the norm, they stand by their word and were committed to finding a fair solution.

Came here looking for a replacement flow switch and housing. My last one that I purchased on Amazon (cheap Chinese ****) lasted only 9mo before leaking severely in 2 places. I noticed a quality difference in the replacement I received from PST. I expect this one to far exceed the prior one. It installed quickly and works perfectly. Best of all, the leaked are gone.
